Sabah, Malaysia Borneo is a state that is truly made for adventure, eco, nature, wildlife, scuba diving holidays. It was once known as North Borneo, under the British colony rule from the late 19th century to early 20th century. It changed its name to Sabah after gaining independence through Malaysia on 16 September 1963. Sabah is the second largest State in Malaysia behind Sarawak. Sabah was known in ancient times as the "Land Below The Wind" because it lies below the typhoon belt. Sabah's terrain is rugged, with Mt. Kinabalu, at 4,101 metres, dominating the surrounding landscape.

You ar met in your hotel lobby and taken to Kinabalu Park Headquarters to register for the for summit climb. Start off on the summit trail at the Power Station and head up enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Your destination today is Laban Rata Resthouse where you stay the night in dormitory accommodation.

Day 2: Climb to Summit and Descend

You are woken well before dawn to continue your trek to the summit of Mt Kinabalu, arriving in time to see the spectacular sunrise. After experiencing the sense of achievement and enjoying some time at the top, return to Laban Rata for a well earned lunch then carry on down to the bottom. Here you will be met and taken back to your hotel to continue your holiday.
