10 Nights Vietnam  Highlights from £498 per person!! NumberAccount: <23737310016> Just Waiting for you!!

Fascinating, beautiful, dynamic, enchanting, exciting... you needn’t spend long in Vietnam to understand why more and more people are making it their new tropical holiday destination of choice. And it takes even less time to understand why they keep coming back...

Blessed with more than 2,000km of pristine coastline, which alone is reason enough to discover this south-east Asian treasure, Vietnam complements this with an exquisite French colonial-influenced heritage, cities and towns that ooze historic charm and an engaging culture defined by the war that brought the country into public consciousness some 50 years ago.

It means a Vietnam holiday has the capacity to surprise at every turn, whether you’re sprawled on a beautiful beach in Ha Long, learning more about its recent history in Ho Chi Minh City, exploring the Old Quarter of Hoi An or joining the locals for a spot of tai chi alongside Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem Lake. You don’t just visit Vietnam, you become part of Vietnam.

Tonight your guide will take you on a culinary adventure, sampling street food in the Old Quarter. It’s a great opportunity to try all those weird and wonderful foods you see but just aren’t sure what they are! Start your Hanoi Street Eats tour at Bia Hoi corner to try the local brew, a draft beer that traces its roots to Eastern Europe. Do as the locals do and pull up a stool and enjoy a drink while watching the world go by.

Continue through the old quarter’s narrow streets as your guide points out a range of tasty noodles, breads and snacks. At night the sidewalks are packed with locals perched on stools, amongst sizzling woks and bubbling pots. These small pop up restaurants are a nightly feature that all but disappear during the day. Sit down and enjoy a flame grilled Vietnamese barbecue of beef, chicken, tofu and vegetables on skewers. End the night with dessert from Hanoi’s best-known ice-cream parlour

Begin the morning with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and hear about the man who led Vietnam’s campaign for independence from French colonial rule. After dedicating his life to the liberation of his country from foreign rule, Ho Chi Minh died in 1969 and his body was preserved for posterity. Every October the mausoleum is closed for a month and Uncle Ho is given a bit of a spruce up! Then wander the grounds to see the one pillar pagoda and the presidential palace. Next, visit the 11th century relic, the Temple of Literature, which was built in homage to the Chinese scholar Confucius.

In the afternoon start with the Museum of Ethnology that is widely acknowledged as the best in the country, with an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority people. Take a breezy cyclo ride through the Old Quarter’s 36 streets, named for the products that were sold from their shops. Today, vendors on Tin and Bamboo Streets still sell the same wares. Next, is the Ngoc Son temple set on a tiny island on the picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake and how it got its name from a legend of an emperor, a magic sword and a giant turtle! End your day with a delightful water puppet show, a traditional art that is still being performed today

You will drive approximately four hours to the coastal port of Halong. There you will board a traditional “junk”, a wooden boat that will take your imagination back to the golden years of sailing. The boat will cruise into the archipelago of Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site composed of nearly 2,000 islands and limestone pillars that emerge from emerald green waters.

The boat then cruises to a floating village where you can chat with local fishermen and learn about their fish cultivation. There are plenty of optional activities (own expense) like kayaking or enjoying a massage! You’ll also have time to sunbathe, join a cooking demonstration, or just take in the view. The evening’s main events are sunset drinks and an open-air buffet of local specialities

Day 04 : HALONG - HUE - FLY

Rise early and head to the sundeck, if you wish, to practice the ancient martial art of Tai Chi. After the sun rises over the bay, take the tender to Surprise Cave, one of Halong Bay’s biggest caves. The paths are safe and well-lit, allowing for stunning views of stalagmites and stalactites. Enjoy a buffet brunch and then after a couple of more hours enjoying the bay, the boat will return you to the pier in Halong, where a shuttle bus will whisk you to Hanoi.

Your guide will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to the airport for your flight. Flight    Hanoi - Hue
