With many sites and scenes bottled up in to a small island, a traveller could be riding the waves in the dawn and admiring the green carpeted mountains by dusk. Travel destinations in Sri Lanka provide an array of holiday experience from sun kissed beach holidays to a marathon of wildlife watching, adrenaline pumping adventure sports and pilgrimage to some of the oldest cities in the world.

The smiles and hospitality of Sri Lanka id world famous and so are its spicy food, exotic fruits and array of sweetmeats found nowhere in the world. With so many cultures living next to each other life in Sri Lanka continues among a series of festivities throughout the year, an ideal recipe for fun and leisure.

With a recorded history of nearly 2500 years and an unrecorded history of at least another 2500 years, Sri Lanka is home to many legends including of Kings who rules over universe, dagger nailed people, believed to be a sub species of humans and technological advancement that seems to be equal to divine intervention.

With recorded and unrecorded tales of Kings who constructed mega structures involving technologies that are beyond our comprehension, extinct species so exotic that it fuelled up the imagination of generations and wars fought with such might that they found their way to religious mythology of even neighbouring countries, Sri Lanka’s folklore is a treasure trove to the curious



DAY 01 - UK  to  NEGAMBO              

Today you board your flight to Colombo from London Airport.


 DAY 02  - NEGAMBO              

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport. Transfer to the hotel in Negombo. In the afternoon proceed to visit the Muneeshwaram Temple and Mannavari Temple. Manavari is the first place where Lord Rama installed the Siva Lingam and prayed after the end of the war with King Ravana.



After early breakfast, drive to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. A home for about 90 elephants, out of which some are baby elephants, found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. Later proceed to Anuradhapura (a World Heritage Site), the first capital and undoubtedly the majestic city of the ancient Sri Lanka



Today visit the archaeological sites in Anuradhapura, the Sri Maha Bodhi (Sacred Bo-Tre). At over 2200 years old it is said to be the oldest historically documented tree in the world. Under this tree, Prince Siddhartha attained enlightenment. Also visit the Isurmuniya rock temple and Mihintale. Drive to Habarana for overnight stay.



Today drive towards Polonnaruwa to visit the ruins of the Royal Palace and Gal Viharaya to view the statues of Buddha and of King Parakumbahu. Also monuments of worship such as the Shiva Temple, Lankathilake, Watadage, Galpotha, Kiri Vehera and the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic. Visit a wood carving factory. Later experience the thrill of an elephant back safari in Habarana, in to the jungle, accompanied by a Mahout. In the afternoon return to Sigiriya and climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is a world heritage site, known as The ‘Lion Rock’. Visit the world renowned frescos of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya. (You have to walk up about more than 200 steps to see the frescos. All natural steps are safe to walk). Afterwards visit a Batik Factory where you can see the manufacture of beautiful Batik prints. Return back to the hotel in the evening.


 DAY 06 - DAMBULLA CAVE - MATALE - KANDY             

Today visit Dambulla cave temples, world heritage site, and the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples - caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings containing 150 images of the Buddha. Later visit the spice garden in Matale. Drive to Kandy to visit a gem factory to see artisans in a workroom cutting and polishing the gems found in Sri Lanka. Visit the Kandy Garrison cemetery, well maintained garden cemetery, founded in 1817 for the internment of British-era colonists and managed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Witness a cultural show.        


 DAY 07 - TRAIN - NUWARA ELIYA              

Today visit Temple of the Tooth Relic before been transfer to Peradeniya railway station for your train journey to Nanu Oya. Transfer to the hotel and in the afternoon take a city tour of Nuwara Eliya known as “Little England”, Visit the Gayathri Pe(e)dam, this is believed to be the place from  where King Ravana’s son Meghanath propitiated Lord Shiva with penance and pooja’s and in turn was granted super natural powers by lord Shiva. Later visit to the tea plantation, a tea factory and enjoy a cup of pure Ceylon tea.



Today visit Sita Amman Temple, Ravana falls & Ravana Cave. These caves prove beyond doubt the architectural brilliance of King Ravana as the tunnels served a quicker and a secret passage through the hills. Later drive to Dickwella visit blow hole.


 DAY 09 - AHANGAMA - GALLE - COLOMBO              

Drive to Galle to visit Dutch Fort and the stilt fishermen in Ahangama. Drive to Colombo (on a free way). Do a city tour and visit Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple, dedicated to Anjaneyar in Sri Lanka.





Goldi sands Negambo


Location : Within easy reach of Negombo Beach, St. Sebastian's Church, and Negombo Fish Market, this Negombo hotel is located by the sea and set on the beach.

Location : Nuwara Eliya or the ‘city of light’ is located in the Central Province of Sri Lanka about 170km away from the Bandaranaike International Airport. Renowned for its picturesque landscape of lakes, tall mountain ranges and sprawling tea plantations it was nicknamed ‘Little England’ by the English planters who settled there. The town is also a quaint reminder of a bygone era as its official buildings are built in the style of 19th and early 20th century English architecture.

Hotel Features : St. Andrews the well designed rooms are complete with all the necessary facilities.
